Clean your makeup brushes - This is one of the easiest things you can do to help your skin. Dirty makeup brushes can harbor old makeup, dirt, dead skin and bacteria. Sounds like something you'd love to put on your face right? When you use dirty brushes you're just asking for breakouts to happen, not to mention they actually don't work as well as clean brushes. You should clean your brushes once a month for best results - more often than that could damage your brushes.

"Yes you need more than what's in your makeup"

SPF Always!!! - This is really non-negotiable and yes you need more than what's in your makeup. Skin cancer is no joke and SPF can provide some protection - physical barrier is best. An SPF 30 with Zinc Oxide and Titanium Dioxide are the ingredients you want for daily, safe, optimal protection. Now for those of you who say you don't want to wear sunscreen because you need Vitamin D, I get it! Please do your research though, sun worshiping won't necessarily increase your Vitamin D levels but if you must - get your sunscreen free sun in the morning when the UV rays are not as strong and then put on your sunscreen.

"Evaluate how your skin is looking and feeling"

Switch up your home care routine - Our skin is the largest organ we've got and it's care requirements can change depending on the season, diet, stress, medications, etc. So it's important to evaluate how your skin is looking and feeling and adjusting your daily routine accordingly. Have your Esthetician take a look at the products your using at home and do a thorough skin analysis to see what your skin needs at the time. This should be done seasonally unless you've made recent changes in diet or medication then you may need to make your appointment sooner.
